Day 8

We woke early to unload our luggage and wait for the engineer to show and fill our boat with diesel. I was expecting a hefty bill for the petrol. We cruised 7 days, 5 to 6 hours per day. Jason, our engineer,  put the nozzle in and set the pump in motion. 30 seconds later it clicked off. 33 litres or 9 gallons of diesel. That was for the total trip.
We called for a cab to take us to Northampton train station. We then caught a train to the Euston Station in London. From there, the underground to Victoria station. We are staying at the Grosvener Hotel. (Pronounced Grovner)
We settled in then went for some lunch. We found a pub and dined outside on some fish and chips. The couple at the table next to ours was from Ohio.
It was a short walk down to the Thames were we saw Big Ben, Parliament, Westminster Abbey, Scotland Yard.
Before heading back to the room, we found another pub for dinner. The folks at the table next to us were from California. We are finding more Americans than English in London.
